If you’d like an exciting career in the fast-paced world of journalism then this is the course for you. Develop the skills needed to work in a multi-disciplinary media environment including TV, radio, print and online journalism.
The entry requirements for this course are 112-128 tariff points from 3 A-Levels or equivalent qualifications.
If English is not your first language, you will need to provide evidence that you can understand English to a satisfactory level. English language requirements for this course are normally:
IELTS (Academic) 6.0 with minimum 5.5 in each component, or equivalent.
Produce news broadcasts in our professional TV studios, design magazines, film TV news packages and interview members of the public as well as guests on live radio
Take part in authentic news day activities in the community to reflect real industry practice and publish news and features across our student platforms

Placement year
You’ll complete either a 4-week placement (on the three-year version of the course), or a minimum 30-week work placement (on the four-year version), which can be carried out anywhere in the world. Your placement offers you a chance to gain experience and make contacts for the future.
