International entry requirements:
If English is not your first language you´ll need IELTS (Academic) 7.0 with minimum 6.5 in each of the 4 components or equivalent.
The course maintains small cohort sizes resulting in excellent lecturer-to-student ratio meaning more support, education and resource availability, throughout your three years.
Experience over 1,500 hours of placement experience throughout the course in a diverse array of settings supported with Simulated Based Education.
This course is approved by the HCPC so you will be able to apply to register as a Paramedic once you graduate, we are working toward endorsement from the College of Paramedics for the latest curriculum, once this process restarts in September 2024.
Practice in state-of-the-art facilities at our Bournemouth Gateway Building, including a purpose-built ambulance simulation suite, hospital wards, community home settings and interactive immersion suite.
There are opportunities to undertake training and exercises at external locations across the region and you´ll be career ready, with 100% of students being in employment or further education 15 months after graduation.
As well as providing emergency care for critically ill patients, you will develop advanced assessment and decision-making skills so you can decide the appropriate referral method for less seriously unwell patients.

Paramedic Practice Portfolio E & F: The final practical units of your programme. You will be expected to demonstrate evaluation and critical reasoning in practice placement competencies- ready for your professional registration as a paramedic.
This course will prepare you for work in the pre-hospital environment of emergency care, giving you the skills you need to work as a paramedic. This is not the only career path open to you though, as you can also work in other expanding areas of the healthcare sector, such as primary care settings, minor injuries units or GP surgeries, or even take your skills to the private sector, for example by working offshore or overseas.
Within fifteen months of completing the course, 100% of our students are in employment or further study.
